Tangos. El exilio de Gardel (1985)
“I’ve seen this movie a lot of times. I feel it close for how it’s realized: it’s a bit absurd, a bit funny, a little serious, a little… yes, a little Argentinian, for its way of telling the sense of community and union, a theme that moves me and inspires me. This film is about the Argentinians exilied in France and the first time I saw it I was in Paris, at that time I hadn’t been yet in Argentina but I already felt that it was calling me. I don’t know if there is a connection between the film and my departure for Argentina, but it’s nice to think so”
